AccorHotels’ 800th Hotel in Asia Pacific to Open in Singapore

The Sofitel Singapore City Centre will open in October 2017, marking AccorHotels’ 800th hotel to open in Asia Pacific and the company’s 13th property in Singapore.

Located in Tanjong Pagar, just 20 minutes from Changi Airport, the 223-room hotel will be followed by a combined 782-room Novotel and Mercure complex opening on Stevens Road.

The hotel will welcome guests with a nine-metre chandelier designed by Lasvit, along with art installation of glass leaves whirling through the lobby. All rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary minibars, Sofitel’s luxurious MyBed, a Handy Phone which provides access to free local and international calls to 10 countries and wifi on the go, as well as Smart TVs, Bose Sound systems, and large soaking tubs with separate rain showers.

Guests staying in the Luxury Club Rooms and Suites will enjoy the services of Club Millésime, including breakfast, evening cocktails and canapes, a library, intimate meeting spaces, and butler services.

The property’s dining outlets include Racines, which will be helmed by executive chef Jean-Charles Duboi and will offer both French and Chinese cuisine prepared by two distinct culinary brigades across four open kitchens.

The hotel will offer 1860sqm of meeting space, including the Wallich Ballroom, equipped with a private VIP room and state-of-the-art technology, ideal for conferences and large soirees. An informal lounge and flexible boardrooms catering for large corporate events will also be available.

Other facilities include the SoFit gym, a 30-metre infinity outdoor pool, and a lawn. Guests can unwind at the SoSpa located adjacent to the Virgin Active Fitness Club – Tanjong Pagar on the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa and Club floor.
