Accor Opens First Fairmont Hotel in Western China

AccorHotels has opened its first Fairmont hotel in Western China, The Fairmont Chengdu, offering business travellers world-class hospitality in the capital of Sichuan province.

The new property is located at Tianfu Middle Avenue, the city’s “hi-tech zone”, and is only a 25-minute drive to Shuangliu International Airport and within close proximity to the metro station, providing easy access to the upcoming Tianfu International Airport and the fast-developing South CBD zone.

The hotel has 336 guest rooms and suites, all of which offer stunning views of Chengdu’s skyline. The guest rooms are fully equipped with large work desks, high-speed wireless internet, HD flat-panel TVs, and rain shower, while the suites are complete with walk-in closets, sophisticated technological amenities, and grand living rooms.

Meeting facilities include 11 meeting rooms and function spaces, and a 730sqm grand ballroom with an adjoining VIP room. These spacious, elegant spaces are replete with state-of-the-art technology, from videoconferencing and innovative presentation set-up to audio-visual equipment and atmospheric lighting.

The hotel also features four restaurants with seven dining concepts, a fitness centre, an indoor pool, and a spa.
